For Therapists
I offer consultation, supervision, professional process groups, and resources aligned with my areas of expertise and what I hope to offer.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked in the field of dialogue facilitation, where I received extensive teaching in group dynamics, meeting design, and training pedagogy. From that world, and from ancillary training in community organizing and activism, I bring a strategic mind for systems interventions at scales ranging from intra-psychic to sociocultural. As a result, I conceptualize psychotherapy as a relational system between therapist and patient, and approach my work as therapist, supervisor, consultant, and facilitator with this lens.
Consultation
I provide single- and multi-session consultation, either virtually or in-person in my Cambridge office.
I am most useful on matters concerning the therapeutic relationship: issues of alliance, attunement, and attachment. I offer concrete and compassionate support pertaining to complex countertransference issues. Additionally, I cultivate specialization regarding patient distrust of therapy, therapy rupture, and clinical care for survivors of therapeutic harm.
I am happy to offer an initial (complimentary) phone call so that you can determine whether you wish to consult with me, and I can determine whether I have the expertise for what you're bringing.
Initial Phone Call (~20 min): Complimentary
Consultation Session Fee (55 min): $180
Fee reduction may be available in cases of access need.
Supervision
I seek to be a friendly, trusted, and useful member of your support network. Although we colloquially call it “supervision,” this offering technically constitutes ongoing consultation. The difference is that you will not be working under my license, as is the case with trainees in an agency setting, but rather operating independently while gifting yourself a consistent space and relationship for support pertaining to your work, identity, and wellbeing as a clinician.
In additional to generalist support, my style and experience may be an especially good fit for you if you:
are seeking supervision pertaining to issues of alliance, attunement, and attachment
have interest in the power dynamics of therapy: both endemic to therapy as an enterprise, and related to the identities of the therapist and patient
work with patients who distrust therapy or who have experienced harm in prior treatment
